I wouldn't go so far as to call my parents "friends", but I am probably closer to them than most of my friends are with theirs. I have no life, pretty much, so I spend a lot of time at home, which is ok. I like to stay home. I'm boring and a total square like that.

My mom and I have a love/hate relationship. She is very interested in my life and my friends and pretty much everything I do and everyone I know so she always wants to talk to me and she wants us to have one of those mom/daughter-no-secrets sort of relationships, but I'm more of a private person. Like if there's a guy that I like, I WILL NOT tell her about it, in fact I usually don't tell anyone, because she will FREAK OUT (like "awwwwwwwwwwww!mylittlegirlhasacrush...ohwhoisitwhatdoeshedo?!?!?!") and want to know every little detail about his life. She does that even with my male friends--hell, she does it with my female friends too. It's because of that that I don't like sharing many things with her. And she gets angry very easily, but I manage to get along with her most of the time, regardless.

My dad is the exact opposite of my mom. He doesn't try to butt in on my life, but if it's an important question, he'll ask it. My dad and I have a lot of common interests as well, so that helps. We both like to go to Borders and just sit in the cafe and drink coffee, and we both are interested in art (that is where I get my drawing skill from). I get along better with my dad than I do with my mom, but my dad and I have like literally NOTHING to talk about, EVER! So when it's just me and him together, there is little to be said. Both of us, are fairly quiet about most things. My dad does sometimes criticize me and say semi-rude things about what I'm doing, but he's usually appologetic if I explain to him that it hurt me.
