So it's official, I'm going to Lollapalooza on August 9th this year.
My sister has been wanting to go because her FAVORITE BAND IN THE WORLD, The Kaiser Chiefs, are playing this year. They rarely ever come to Chicago, since they're a British band and when they ever do, my sister can never go. So since my sister is going away to school later in August, I decided that I'd go with her and we could see The Kaiser Chiefs together. Also, since I know the ins and outs of Chicago pretty well now, my mom wanted me to tag along for safety and peace of mind for her and my dad.
Also, did I mention that one of my favorite bands of all time, THE KILLERS (!!!!!!!) are also playing that day--er, night? I'm dying to see them play live, but I'm still not sure if we'll stick around to see them. But I might as well, considering I forked over $80 for a ticket. But I don't like staying in Chicago late, especially not on a Sunday night (well, I'm hoping I might get the day, or at least the morning off work the Monday after) with the few trains and everything. So if I feel like staying for The Killers, which I will (DUH!), then we'll stay and maybe try and leave before they finish, although that would be like buying the most expensive dessert on the menu and then leaving half of it. I still don't know what I'll do yet.
So today turned out to be an ok day at work. I went in thinking I would be alone unpacking skids all day. But thankfully Eric showed up and he helped me the entire day. Working with Eric beats working with
